Mulch Ado About Nothing

No time for a real post right now, but here’s a shot of the herb and fruit garden that’s just about done. It looks a little corporate right now, but as things fill in the mulch to green ratio should reverse. The post title courtesy of Milo, who just started saying it for some reason.

You posted this in the time it took me to read the last post. Tricky, speedy devil.

Very nice. I like the brick pavers. But I hate the bark. Reminds me of getting splinters as a kid.

It looks like a good start to the garden.

I love it when young children pick up on a phrase.

A chip off the old block, Milo, complete with phrases and wood chips.

Wow. Looks like your garden can't NOT grow this time of year, in your neck of the woods. Lush.
    Good luck.

    Blanche ¡Andale!

Brooke: Well, I don't love the bark, but it's cheap, it greys with time, and the greenery will cover it as the blueberries and raspberries expand.

Jen: I just can't figure out where he heard it.

    Zoomie: Ha. Nice one.

CC: We've had a perfect spring, with alternating rain and sun. I'll post veg. garden pics when I'm done mulching it.

Yours Truly

I'm a painter who happens to also spend a lot of time growing, making, and writing about food. I'm particularly interested in the intersection of frugal peasant cooking techniques and haute improvisation. And I have a really great personality.
